My husband and I started the Dukan diet on July 5th, 2011. We worked together which helped a lot. We have done each phase together even though it meant I was on the phases longer than I could have.I lost a total of 17 pounds and am back to my normal weight of 105. I feel great and it was very easy and quick. The best part of the diet is how wonderful my stomach felt. I have had a bad stomach for at least 12 years and haven’t felt this good since before then. Once I started the diet I felt great.
When I got to phase 3 and started working in bread and other new things, I realized that I am gluten intolerant as my pains came back. I have removed all gluten from my diet and feel great again. I never would have thought that I had a problem with gluten until this diet took all of it away from me. I am so happy to feel good and look great. I wore a bikini for the first time this weekend in 12 years! I now know that if I eat too much, I just need to go « protein only » for a few days to get rid of it. We have spread the Dukan word to so many of our friends that were inspired by us.

The advice I’d give to other « Dukanians »: Take it one day at a time and drink lots of water. Make a list of all the foods you CAN eat so you don’t concentrate on what you can’t.
