All my life, I always had low blood pressure. When I went for preadmission testing a little over a year ago for some minor surgery they told me I needed to get my blood pressure under control before they would do the surgery as it was 185/90. I was shocked! I was also the heaviest I had ever been in my 50 years! I was heavier than when I was 9 months pregnant with any of my 3 children. I had now gone from needing to lose weight to obese! I could not climb a flight of stairs without being out of breath. In the middle of May of this year, someone from work bought the book and a number of people in my office became Dukaners! There was more protein and Greek yogurt in the office fridge than you can imagine.
I told my sister about the diet and she bought the book and embarked on the journey as well! I started my attack phase on May 23 and now a little over 5 months later I have lost 51 pounds and look and feel great! I tell people all the time it has been a great experience.I now run 2 miles a few times a week as well as go to an exercise class twice a week. My blood pressure is back to normal and I have so much more energy. My weight loss has inspired a number of other friends to start on this Dukan journey as well! I love the reaction of people that I have not seen for awhile! Thank You Dr Dukan! Looking forward to beginning the next phase in another 9 pounds!
