In November 2011 I was in a dead end job and my weight had increased to 150 lbs. I am 5’7″ and had never been this weight except when I was pregnant. I was sitting in an automotive repair shop and read an article about the Dukan Diet, and how Kate Middleton used this form of weight control. I decided at that moment to make a change in my life. I instantly cut all soft drinks, fast food, etc from my life. My husband starting making only carb free meals, meats and vegetables. I started walking on the treadmill. I love dark chocolate, so if I had a craving I would eat one dark chocolate Dove miniature bar. At first I was only able to walk 15 minutes, within a month I was up to 30 minutes and then one hour. I walked everyday and the weight dropped. The more I lost the more determined I became.
I lost the 25 lbs by March 2012 and have successfully kept the weight off to this date of October 31, 2012. (I do not have available an old photo of my weight gain by myself, nor after my weight loss. So I’m not sure about the legalities of the others in my pictures.) In the before photo, I’m the one in the light purple, in the after photo I’m the one in dark purple.
