Sandy, United States, lost 30 lbs

I have unofficially been a Dukan Ambassador since I began this program on May 9th, 2011! I have loved every day on this program which has given me power, confidence and a feeling of overall better health. Through the years I’ve struggled with the same 15-20 lbs. or more, up and down, to the point of resignation with the higher weight. I was pretty active, energetic, and OK with the way I was.

Then, I saw Dr. Dukan on The Dr. Oz Show – the day my light bulb went off and there was no stopping me! This program made sense to me because it was logical. I knew going off sugar and carbs worked for me because I’d been successful before when I had testing done for possible food sensitivities. I listened to others on the show talking of their success. Then, it was determined by medical and nutritional critics that day that it was a safe program if you had no kidney problems. At that point, I wanted to read the book so I bought it, read it twice and knew I’d found the one, complete program that would help me KEEP the weight off.

I just knew I could do it on this program because I was ready to change my lifestyle.

I had raised my children, taken care of my aging parents and I was ready to improve my health. I’ve been successful in my career (still working) and most everything else I’ve ever done, but my weight was always a challenge………. not any more! I called one of my best friends and talked to her about it. We researched the program further and decided to do this together. We began the very next week and off we went toward our goals. I surpassed my true weight and have maintained that weight which is 4-5 lbs. below my Dukan goal. My friend has experienced the same success!

I have shared this program with friends and relatives across the country who’d never heard about it. Just this morning I was on the phone with a friend in Charlotte, NC who’s starting on Thursday. I honestly believe that the attraction to the Dukan program for me was the 4 phases. I understood how the evolvement was to help me reinforce new habits which would prepare me for Permanent Stabilization. When I eat what I want, which I do, and go up a pound, I go right back to my Protein Day and it’s gone. I do weigh every day and keep a log right by my scale. That helps me stay mindful of my mission – maintenance!

My size 12 and 14’s have all been donated to make room for my new size 6’s and 8’s! Have never worn a 6 in my entire life! I attribute my new body to Dukan, walking and Pilates twice a week. I walk by a mirror and see a reflection and have to look again to make sure that’s really ME! Love that!!!!!

My favorite support Dukan food: Oat Bran Pancakes with cinnamon and Splenda
My Dukan treat: Caramel or Pumpkin Cheesecake
My favorite form of exercise: Walking and Pilates
The nicest compliment I’ve been paid: ‘You’re so little!’ (Who, me?)
What keeps me going: Weighing in every morning and getting into my Size 6 pants
The advice I’d give to other « Dukanians »: The advice I would give to offer « Dukanians »: Be focused and stay determined as you change your life style to become healthier. Don’t use the ‘d’ word – ever! This program works when you’re serious and ready to make a change.
